Leslie Smith Leslie heeded the voice of God, and went to visit the Baptist Church at 703 S Broadway Street in Portland. After the service, she spoke with the pastor about the possibility of renting the building. The pastor replied "Honey... you are an answer to my prayer. We are closing down. This is our last meeting" THE NEXT DAY, a group of generous Oasis leaders PURCHASED the Baptist Church to be the new home for Oasis.
